Summer is here and it’s time to have fun and show off a little skin by wearing sun dresses, smaller tops, and low pants that show off the belly. Here are a few tips that will make you look like a knockout.

Secret #1
Fredericks makes a great body makeup, a body bronzer. It comes in many different shades. It is fun and creamy and it gives you a beautiful glow and shimmer and it is a beautiful accent to your skin in the summer. Use it on your back arms and belly. You can also make your own by taking a bronzing powder like the ones made by MAC and mix it with Lubriderm in the palm of your hand and apply it.

Secret #2
Bain de Soleil makes great orange jelly that gives you a beautiful glow. You can put it on your legs to make your skin look shimmery like you are wearing panty hose, but your not!

Secret #3
When you do your blush always look in the mirror and smile at yourself, then put the blush where the apple of your cheek is and go straight back into your temple. Use a nice copper color or peach bronze for the summer. Do not suck your cheeks in like you may have been taught. It makes you look too hollow when you do that and not healthy.

Secret #4
When you go to apply your makeup in the morning make sure that your face is squeaky clean. If you have to apply moisturizer do it very, very lightly. A lot of people put too much moisturizer on in the morning and it makes their makeup slide all around and halfway through the day their foundation is sliding off. It is okay to moisturize at night but not during the day. To get the extra oil off you can use an astringent like Seabreeze before applying your make up.

Secret #5
Make sure to powder a couple of times a day not just in the morning. That will keep your makeup and your foundation on longer and into the evening. This will help you look fresh at the end of the day.

Secret #6
Don’t be afraid to play! You can always wipe it off. For example, go over your natural lip line add some gloss over the top to give your self some fuller looking lips. No one will ever know. Go for it and have fun!
