Top fragrance brand Coty has added another string to its bow, with the announcement of a collaboration with leading Italian fashion brand Bottega Veneta.

Coty will produce the perfume- which will be fully marketed under the Bottega Veneta name. The exclusive partnership will come as a strong blow to Coty’s rivals, as their line of fragrances seems to be going from strength to strength, which is a sentiment echoed by Coty’s CEO, Bernd Beetz, who stated:

“Bottega Veneta remains one of the world’s premier designer labels and architects of fashion. Reputed for sophistication and elegance, the dynamic brand is both a natural fit and winning partner for Coty. Coty is excited to join with Bottega Veneta to produce what’s sure to be a global sensation.”

Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director, Tomas Maier, enthused:

“The opportunity to create the first Bottega Veneta fragrance is an exciting challenge. I’ve always loved fragrance and have very definite ideas about what I want to do.”

CEO of Bottega Veneta, Marco Bizzarri, agreed:

“This partnership with Coty Prestige enables Bottega Veneta to enter the fragrance market in a very strong position, thanks to the unique attributes of both companies.”

The fragrance is expected to hit shelves in autumn 2011.
