Cosmetics News
July 2, 2002

US-born actress and singer Jennifer Lopez's freshly washed skin is reputedly
the inspiration for a new fragrance -- Glow by J.Lo -- from Lancaster, the
prestige division of US brand Coty, and Netherlands-based perfume creator
Quest.

The soft floral scent, with soapy overtones, features orange flower and
grapefruit top notes with jasmine and orris heart, and base notes of vanilla
and musk.

The four-sku line will launch in the US, Germany, Canada, South America, and
the UK in September 2002; in Japan in December; with roll-out to the Middle
East and additional European countries to follow in March 2003.

"The primary target is 15- to 25-year-old women who are tuned in to style,
rap, and pop," vp marketing cosmetics and American licenses for Lancaster
Catherine Walsh said.

"The secondary target is 10- to 15-year-old girls who are addicted to MTV,
and keep in touch constantly through instant messaging," Walsh added.

The global advertising campaign, featuring a naked Lopez partially obscured
by steamed glass, will run from September in teen magazines, ethnic press,
and fashion magazines.

Glow by J.Lo will sell for $38 the 1.7oz EdT, $50 the 3.4oz EdT, $20 the
6.7oz shower gel and $25 the 6.7oz body lotion.
